Moving into a new property can be stressful. We aim to provide as much support as we can as you make this transition.

The checklists below provide answers to some of the questions we hear most frequently from our tenants. Please read through this information, and if you still have questions, give us a call for additional assistance: (844) RENT-239.

Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

Your first month's rent and security deposit must be paid at the lease signing. Check the amounts with our team in advance.

Move-in Date & Inspection

Your official move-in date and all inspection and orientation information will be provided at the lease signing.


Utility accounts for your rental property should be placed in your name immediately upon signing the lease. Failure to promptly change the service over to your name may result in temporary outages and administrative fees associated with restoring access.


Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Preparing to leave your rental property? Before you move, refer to your tenancy's end date, which is specified in the lease. You are legally responsible for paying rent through this date, regardless of whether you leave the property early. 

We ask all tenants to provide written notice of intent to vacate, as this gives us time to begin preparing for the next occupants.

Property Condition

Your home must be returned in its original condition. Remember to take care of the following: 

  • Rental Cleaning: Please properly clean every room in the rental, including your kitchen and bathroom spaces. Be sure to remove all of your possessions. You also need to clean floors and hard surfaces, including ceilings and walls.
  • Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If your home has outdoor space where you routinely address maintenance needs, please take care of these chores once more before vacating.
  • Repairs: If any cosmetic damage is present in your rental home, please take the necessary steps to repair these problems. This includes patching nail and screw holes, repainting discolored paint, and replacing light bulbs where necessary.

Security Deposit

All tenants pay a security deposit at the outset of their leases. These funds serve as protection against damage that could occur during the tenancy. We will perform a final inspection when you vacate the home. Any new damage identified during this inspection will be repaired using funds from your deposit.

Please remember, you cannot use your security deposit to pay your last rent check. Failure to pay us your final rent may result in legal action and negative reporting to the appropriate credit agencies.
